There is beauty in giving. We hope to instill in our own children experiences that will teach them compassion from a young age. We believe that by giving back, we are developing our next generation of leaders and creating a culture of generosity and civic responsibility. Giving back is one of the most important and valuable things that we can do.

It is easy to get wrapped up in our own problems and lives, but there is always someone else who has it worse. How easy it is to take our daily necessities for granted! The truth is that even right here in the Capital Region we have abuse, poverty, starvation, homelessness, and many other hardships.

We at Signature Home Buyers feel very grateful to be able to give back.

In addition to several national charities, like The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Cancer Research, The ALS Foundation, here are some of our favorite local organizations that we sponsor:

Things of My Very Own, Inc.

This organization is very near and dear to our hearts. Things of My Very Own, Inc. (TOMVO) is a non-profit organization that provides crisis intervention services to children who have been impacted by extensive abuse and/or neglect. They also provide services to children at-risk of a Child Protective Services intervention solely due to not having items necessary for sustainability. The organization works to keep children with their non-abusive family members and out of the foster care system whenever possible.

Glenn and Amber have a personal connection to this organization. On May 2, 2015, their son, Cruz, was born 3 months early. Cruz’s journey has been an inspiration in and of itself. Born at 2 lbs 10 oz, and 12-1/2” long, he had to fight just to stay alive. Thank You to the nurses and doctors at AMC that helped him do just that. After 87 long days in the NICU, he is now healthy and at home with his family where he belongs.
